  1. The Kyocera printer uses its own native lay-down language, Prescribe, and
  2. a close but not exact imitation of the HP LaserJet escape-coded 
  3. language.  This driver was supplied by Kees Straatman, of the University
  4. of Groningen, and is now maintained by Sietse Achterop, Computing Science 
  5. Department, University of Groningen. (mcvax!guvaxin!sietse).

  7. Kees Straatman found that the emulation of the HP LaserJet was too 
  8. inexact to make it worth while to work with that language, and so
  9. concentrated on "Prescribe." for the Kyocera.  It might, nevertheless
  10. be possible to take his code and make it work on a Laserjet.
